B.S. Electrical Engineering; 24 years patent legal experience; 3 years electrical engineering work experience. . Bruce has concentrated his practice in patent prosecution since graduating law school from the University of Texas in 1994. Bruce obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa in 1988 and spent 3 years in industry as an electrical engineer for Lockheed Martin (formerly General Dynamics) in the RF Navigation Systems group on the F-16 fighter. After graduating law school, Bruce worked for 5 years as a patent attorney at Zarley, McKee, Thomte, Voorhees & Sease in Des Moines, Iowa before starting his own law firm, Davis & Johnson in 1998. Mr. Johnson has worked as a senior of-counsel patent prosecution attorney with Sprinkle IP Law Group since 2006. Bruce’s entire career has been as a patent prosecution attorney with focus on electrical circuitry and software. He has drafted significant numbers of patent in the areas of semiconductor design and fabrication, blockchain applications, telecommunications, e-commerce, nanotechnology, video processing, GPS, antennas, seismic data analysis, analog and digital circuitry, digital signal processing, fuzzy logic and microprocessor-based high frequency power supplies, surface mount electrical components, chipsets, VLSI design, and various medical device, energy, environmental and software technologies. Bruce is licensed to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
